Leadership & Staff

Gerard and Maureen Haberstro

Gerard and Maureen Haberstro are the team leaders at Harbor Lights Fellowship.  The Haberstro’s bring with them over three decades of ministry experience to the Church of Jesus Christ.  Since 1979, the Haberstro’s have served in pastoral ministries in the United States and Canada, and have also led numerous short-term missions teams throughout the western hemisphere as well as overseas.

Family is a key tenant in the life of Gerard and Maureen.  A major part of their ministry and testimony is a result of God’s faithfulness through 30-years of marriage, including the joys and challenges of raising five children (four girls and one boy).  Both born and raised in Buffalo, NY into large families, Gerard and Maureen possess a unique understanding of the importance of strong and functional family relationships.  It is out of this strength that they are able to confidently work and travel all over the globe.  Their children also actively participate in the endeavors to which God has called them.  It is a gift which enables them to effectively minister to the local church, families of pastors, missionaries and leaders all over the world.

Vince and Julie Anetrini

Vince and Julie Anetrini serve at Harbor Lights as Worship Leaders and team leaders.  As graduates of Elim Bible Institute, they each carry a strong prophetic mantel in worship and the Word, bringing great insight and encouragement to the family at Harbor Lights Fellowship.

Family life is very precious to the Anetrini’s, who have two young boys and baby girl.  Vince also serves on the Board of Directors.

Jan Popielski

Jan has been a faithful servant to the Body of Christ in our region and has served in many capacities for a number of years. She has experience working with singles, youth, leading Bible study, counseling and worship. Jan has a heart for short-term missions and has served as an office manager for a full-time counseling ministry.

Jan has a passion to see the Bride of Christ in Buffalo and Western New York fulfill their call of falling passionately in love with Jesus Christ and ushering in His return. One of her life verses is Psalm 27:4, and prayer and intimacy with the Lord have always been at the center of her life. Jan serves as House of Prayer Coordinator with a vision for establishing a 24/7 House of Prayer on Grand Island. She also helps in the administration of Harbor Lights Fellowship and is a member of the Board of Directors.

Catherine Cherry-Myers

Catherine has a global vision, which includes the Buffalo/Niagara region, America and the Nation of Israel.  Short-term ministry in West Africa, Central America, the West Indies and Israel has cultivated her heart for the nations and encouraged a vision to facilitate prayer in strategic locations throughout the world.

Catherine ministers with great resources from practical life experience.  She has served the local church for 25 years in children’s ministry, missions and prayer.  Her involvement in Moms in Touch, numerous prayer groups and regional prayer was born out of her belief that prayer is the imperative force to raise up a chosen generation to usher in the coming Kingdom in all its glory.  After completing an internship at the International House of Prayer in Kansas City, Catherine returned to partner in establishing the Grand Island House of Prayer where she currently serves as co-director.

Catherine was born and raised in Buffalo and resides in Orchard Park.  She has four talented adult children.
