Today I was reading Psalm 33. This scripture describes the nature of God. He created with His words. The creation has stayed as He designed it for many centuries. In the very first verse of this Psalm, it says that praise from the upright is beautiful. This truly means that He listens to our praise of Him and hears it as beautiful to His ears. The Psalm continues describing the ways of God. Verses 11 tells us that the plans of His heart stand to all generations. This brings such strength and comfort just knowing that His plans are certain. Our role is to acknowledge Him in all our ways and praise Him all of our days. Verses 20-22 are statements of faith for us:
“ Our soul waits for the Lord;
He is our help and our shield.
For our heart shall rejoice in Him,
Because we have trusted in His holy name.
Let Your mercy, O Lord, be upon us,
Just as we hope in You.”
Lord, we lift up our praises to You today knowing You hear and are pleased. Amen.
